Your Trusted Partner for New HVAC Systems
ServiceXCEL Heating, Cooling & Plumbing serves Port Alberni and the Alberni Valley, with installation as our specialty for this community. As a Nexstar member company based in Nanaimo, our team focuses on getting your new HVAC or plumbing system installed right the first time. Local homeowners choose us for honest options, protected workspaces, and equipment built to handle Vancouver Island’s coastal climate for years to come.
Stay Cool With Reliable AC Services
Summer heat on Vancouver Island can turn a stuffy house into a real problem fast. We offer AC services in Port Alberni, including repairs and tune-ups, though installation is where our team shines for this community. A correctly sized, professionally installed system keeps rooms comfortable and avoids the wasted energy and breakdowns that come with a poor setup.
Stop Worrying About Winter Heat Loss
Cold, damp winters in the Alberni Valley put real strain on heating systems that aren’t built for the job. We provide furnace services in Port Alberni, including repairs when something goes wrong, but installation is our specialty here. Our team installs gas, electric, and oil furnaces matched to your home’s size, helping you avoid the high bills that come with an aging unit.
One System for Heating and Cooling
A heat pump gives Port Alberni homes year-round comfort from one system, without the cost of running separate heating and cooling units. We handle heat pump services here, from repairs to new installs, and as a Mitsubishi Diamond Dealer, installation is where our expertise shines, including dual fuel setups that pair a heat pump with a furnace for extra backup.
Breathe Cleaner Air at Home
Newer, tightly sealed homes trap stale air, dust, and moisture inside without proper ventilation. We bring indoor air quality services to Port Alberni, with a focus on installing heat recovery and energy recovery ventilators that bring in fresh outdoor air while keeping heating and cooling costs in check. A well-installed ventilation system makes a noticeable difference in how your home feels.
Keep Your Business Running Smoothly
Local businesses in Port Alberni cannot afford downtime from a failed rooftop unit or outdated commercial system. We provide commercial HVAC services here, and new installations for air conditioning, heating, heat pumps, and rooftop units are where our team focuses, sized for your building and operating hours to protect your equipment and keep things running.
Never Run Out of Hot Water Again
An aging water heater can leave your family with cold showers at the worst possible time. We handle plumbing installation in Port Alberni, alongside other plumbing services, with new tank and tankless water heater installs being a specialty for homes in this area. A properly installed water heater runs more efficiently and gives you reliable hot water for years.
When Old Equipment Becomes a Bigger Risk
Outdated or poorly matched HVAC and plumbing equipment in older Port Alberni homes can mean higher bills, uneven temperatures, and sudden failures right when you need comfort most. Left alone, these problems only get more expensive to fix. A correctly sized, professionally installed system solves the root issue instead of masking it, giving your home reliable comfort.
Why Port Alberni Homeowners Trust Our Installs
Choosing the right installer matters just as much as choosing the right equipment. ServiceXCEL combines certified training with a genuine respect for your home, so every project gets done right and treated with care.

Explore Port Alberni While We Get to Work
While your new installation gets handled, take some time to enjoy what Port Alberni has to offer. Walk along the harbour at Clutesi Haven Marina, grab a bite downtown on Third Avenue, or head out toward Sproat Lake for fresh air and forest views. Port Alberni’s mix of waterfront charm and easy access to the Alberni Valley makes it simple to fill an afternoon.
How Coastal Weather Affects Your Comfort
Port Alberni sits at the head of the Alberni Inlet, where coastal moisture and big seasonal temperature swings put extra strain on heating and cooling equipment. Wet winters and warm, dry summers mean your system needs to handle both ends of the spectrum without missing a beat. A properly installed, correctly sized unit handles these shifts far better than older or mismatched equipment.
Getting Rebate Help With Your New Install
A new HVAC or water heater installation often comes with rebate opportunities through CleanBC programs. Our team maintains CleanBC rebate program certification, so we can help you understand what might apply to your specific installation in Port Alberni. Pairing the right equipment with the right paperwork means you get the comfort upgrade without leaving potential savings on the table for your Port Alberni home.
